Our story begins with Tommy, Kash, and me. 

Tommy was our anchor, Kash is our child, and I’m the creative one always dreaming up new ideas everyone somehow agreed to. 

We’ve always loved dogs like family – and funny enough, Kash often acts like a little human himself. 

Like many dog moms, I baked for him, celebrated his birthdays, and spoiled him every chance I got. 

Some celebrations were just the three of us. Others were held at the yacht club, where I made pupcakes as party favors for the dogs.   

The following year, friends requested more pupcakes, and before long I was individually packaging each one in cellophane, tied with black satin ribbon like little luxury cupcakes for dogs. 

The dogs loved them, and the humans kept saying the same thing:

You need to sell these

And that was the beginning of Bougie BARKery SB.

Tommy passed away in February 2025 after a long and courageous battle with glioblastoma that began in December 2020. 

He left an immeasurable mark on our hearts and on the Santa Barbara community.  Tommy believed deeply in helping others, supporting nonprofit organizations, and making sure everyone around him succeeded.

Bougie BARKery SB was built with that same love.

Today, every bag of Bougie BARKery SB is made with the same love that started in our kitchen years ago. My hope is that every dog feels celebrated, every customer feels like family, and every purchase helps us give back to our community.
